Ham's Bio
Ham Zamberu Learamo is an accomplished humanitarian professional with over 10 year’s experience in humanitarian Finance and Administration, having held senior managerial roles with organizations in challenging environments such as Somalia, South Sudan and northern Kenya. Ham has experience in administering multi-donor, multi-year and multi-sector programming, including Humanitarian Administration, Human Resources Management, Supply Chain Management, and Audits Facilitation, Compliance and Risk Management. Mr. Zamberu is also a certified public accountant of Kenya. Mr. Zamberu has a unique relationship with the BOMA Project, not only because he is a member of the Board of Directors and chair of the BOMA NGO Board, but because he hails from Marsabit County, where BOMA first launched its poverty alleviation program. He has seen first-hand how BOMA’s program has created long-lasting, sustainable transformation in the lives of ultra-poor women and their families. Ham currently serves as the Deputy Country Director for the Norwegian Refugee Council, Somalia program. He is also a board member of Kulal girls’ secondary school in Marsabit, Kenya. Ham is married to Dr. Habiba Nabosu; they are blessed with three lovely children. He divides his time between Somalia, Nairobi (Kenya) and his beloved country home in Mt Kulal, which he visits with family at every opportunity.
