Nancy Wamwea isthe  Portfolio Director, Standard REAP with over 29 years’ experience working in the Civic Society sector. She started her career as a high school teacher and later joined the Civil Society Sector. Her work has focused on the socio-economic empowerment of poor and marginalized children, youth and communities in urban informal settlements and rural areas, as well as empowering Kenyan citizens to internalize and exercise their constitutional rights, promoting gender equality and socio-political empowerment of women and girls, and civil society strengthening. Nancy holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) and a Bachelor’s Degree in Education both from Kenyatta University. Nancy also holds a Diploma in Good Governance and Urban Public Planning from the Institute for Housing and Urban Development Studies (IHS)- Netherlands. She loves serving others, more so the less privileged in society. During her free time, she loves listening to motivational talks or gospel music.
