Washington, DC — BOMA, a U.S. and Kenya-based nonprofit the implements high-impact poverty graduation programs in the drylands of Africa, has appointed tech and data industry leader Srilatha “Sri” Kothur to its Board of Directors.
Kothur has a strong track record of driving growth and innovation, and currently serves as Head of Apple Cloud Data Engineering and Platforms. She is an effective, driven technical leader with more than 14 years of experience building data products and applications and bridging the gap between tech and business. Kothur’s diverse journey includes running large, high velocity data organizations and advisory experience with promising social ventures, rooted in a deep data and systems background.
Prior to Apple, Kothur led data science and engineering orgs at leading tech companies such as Facebook, Netflix, Intuit and eBay. She is deeply passionate about helping to scale nonprofit and social ventures, and brings a wealth of technical, management, and growth expertise to BOMA.
Kothur says that she is passionate about promoting Women in tech and ensuring that women are given opportunities to rise in the tech industry. Kothur came to BOMA in an advisory capacity in early 2021.
