BOMA’s program provides a pathway out of starvation-level poverty for those most in need. BOMA participants receive education and training in business, finance and more over approximately two years. At the same time, they receive grants to start their own business — and, later, grants to grow or diversity those businesses — and regular support from BOMA mentors. To date, BOMA has transformed the lives of more than 450,000 women, youth, and refugees in Africa, with a focus on regions heavily impacted by climate change.
